Trade show leads, in Salesforce before you leave the booth
Scan a badge. A Lead lands in Salesforce with Campaign attribution. No package to install, no schema changes.
Native objects. Zero schema changes.
BoothIQ writes only standard Salesforce objects. No custom fields, no custom objects, no Apex, no managed package. Connect with OAuth and your existing campaign reports and ROI dashboards work with BoothIQ data automatically.
Your event
Campaign
Created with Type "Trade Show" and your event's dates. Edits in BoothIQ update the same Campaign.
New person captured
Lead
Standard contact fields only. BoothIQ never writes the Lead's Description, so anything your team keeps there stays theirs.
Person already in your CRM
Contact
Your existing record's fields, untouched. BoothIQ attaches the Contact to the event's Campaign and logs the meeting on its timeline.
Captured at this event
CampaignMember
Attribution lives on CampaignMembers, so campaign influence and ROI reporting just work.
Booth conversation
Event
Every capture lands on the person's activity timeline, even a bare scan: notes and voice memo transcripts, stamped at scan time. Three reps, three entries.
How the Salesforce integration works
Connect once. Every scan after that syncs automatically.
1 Connect Salesforce
Open Settings, tap Salesforce, sign in with OAuth. 60 seconds, no package to install. Sandbox and My Domain supported.
2 Scan at the booth
Scan any badge or business card. BoothIQ checks Salesforce instantly and shows if they're already in your CRM.
3 Leads land in Salesforce
A Lead, a meeting on its timeline with your notes, and a CampaignMember tying it to the event. Your sales team has full context Monday morning.

Know who you're talking to
When you scan a badge, BoothIQ searches your Salesforce org in real time. You'll know on the spot if this is a new prospect or an existing contact.
Existing Contact? BoothIQ leaves the record untouched and attaches it to the event's Campaign.
New lead? BoothIQ creates a Lead with enriched data and logs the conversation on its timeline.
No duplicate records. Rescans and scans by different reps update the same Lead, and your org's duplicate rules get the last word: a rule match means BoothIQ updates that record instead of creating one.
See event ROI without leaving BoothIQ
Open any event in BoothIQ and see the pipeline behind it. BoothIQ reads the Opportunities that name your event's Campaign as their Primary Campaign Source and rolls them up, live from Salesforce.

Return on event spend
Same math as your Salesforce report
Return on event spend uses the Campaign's Actual Cost and Salesforce's own campaign ROI formula: closed-won minus cost, divided by cost. Our number and your campaign report never disagree.
Click through to every deal
The closed-won and opportunity counts open a list of the deals behind them. Click any deal to open it in Salesforce.
Read-only, by design
This report only reads Opportunities. BoothIQ still never writes to Accounts or Opportunities.
What BoothIQ never does to your org
Your Salesforce admin will ask. Here are the answers.
Never modifies your schema: no fields, objects, layouts, or permissions
Never converts Leads or merges records
Never deletes your records
Never reassigns record ownership on update
Never writes to Accounts or Opportunities. Event ROI only reads them.
Never overwrites an existing value with a blank
Works with Pardot out of the box
Because BoothIQ writes standard Leads and Campaigns, Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (Pardot) picks them up through its Salesforce connector like any other record. Nothing to configure in BoothIQ.
Leads flow into Account Engagement through the connector, ready for grading and scoring.
Nurture from the event's Campaign. Trigger Engagement Studio programs from membership in the Campaign BoothIQ created.
Attribution stays intact. Campaign influence and ROI reporting see BoothIQ leads like any other campaign source.

Frequently asked questions
How long does it take to connect BoothIQ to Salesforce?
About 60 seconds. Open Settings, tap Salesforce, sign in, and approve access. Standard OAuth, no API keys, no package to install. Sandbox and My Domain login URLs are supported.
Does BoothIQ change my Salesforce schema?
No. BoothIQ uses only standard objects: Campaign, CampaignMember, Lead, Contact, and Event. No custom fields, no custom objects, no Apex, no triggers, no managed package. There is nothing for an admin to install or review.
Does BoothIQ create duplicate Leads?
No. Three checks run before BoothIQ writes anything. First, BoothIQ remembers which Salesforce record each capture synced to, so rescans, edits, and scans by different reps update that same record. Second, it searches your org by email for an existing Contact, then Lead. Third, when it does create a Lead, it never bypasses your duplicate rules: if a rule you built flags a match, BoothIQ updates the matched record instead of inserting a new one. If someone is already a Contact in your org, BoothIQ never edits that record's fields; it links the Contact to the event's Campaign and logs the meeting on its timeline.
How does event attribution work in Salesforce?
Each BoothIQ event becomes a Campaign with Type "Trade Show". Every captured lead is attached as a CampaignMember. Your existing campaign reports, campaign influence, and ROI dashboards pick it up automatically. When a Lead converts, Salesforce carries the CampaignMember to the Contact, so attribution survives conversion.
Can I see event ROI in BoothIQ?
Yes. Open the event in BoothIQ and the Pipeline impact band shows pipeline attributed, closed-won, and return on event spend, read live from the Opportunities whose Primary Campaign Source is the event's Campaign. The return math matches Salesforce's campaign ROI report: closed-won minus the Campaign's Actual Cost, divided by that cost. Add a cost to the Campaign and the percent appears. BoothIQ only reads Opportunities for this and never writes to them.
Does BoothIQ work with Pardot (Marketing Cloud Account Engagement)?
Yes. Because BoothIQ writes standard Leads and Campaigns, Account Engagement's Salesforce connector picks them up like any other Salesforce record. You can trigger nurture from the campaign BoothIQ created, with no extra setup in BoothIQ.
What does my Salesforce org need?
Campaigns enabled (standard in Professional, Enterprise, and Unlimited editions), and the "Marketing User" checkbox on the connecting user for Campaign sync. Lead sync works without it. BoothIQ checks this at connect time and shows the fix if it's missing.
Do I need a paid BoothIQ plan for Salesforce sync?
Yes. CRM sync is part of our Enterprise plan. The free Individual and Team plans capture leads and export via CSV, but do not sync directly to any CRM.
Can BoothIQ fill my custom Lead fields?
Yes. BoothIQ can map capture data to custom Lead fields that already exist in your org, validated against each field's type. BoothIQ never creates fields.
Does it work offline?
Yes. BoothIQ captures leads offline. When you reconnect, everything syncs to Salesforce automatically and retries on its own if Salesforce has a hiccup.
Is my Salesforce data secure?
BoothIQ uses OAuth 2.0. Your Salesforce password is never shared with BoothIQ, tokens are stored encrypted, and each user has their own connection. You can disconnect at any time from Settings.
